Made in Minnesota
Founded in 2011 near the scenic St. Croix River Valley in East Central Minnesota, Prairie Willows Farm has become home to a flock of naturally colored Finnsheep and the beautiful silver-curled Gotland sheep. Since its founding, the farm has become an integral part of an active network of American Gotland and Finn shepherds.

The Gotland sheep, originating from the Swedish island of Gotland, are known for their distinctive grey, curly and lustrous fleece. These hardy sheep are valued for their wool, as their fiber is excellent for spinning, weaving and felting. Gotlands have a calm and friendly demeanor, making them easy to handle and a pleasure to raise!

Finnsheep

The Finnsheep, a breed native to Finland, is renowned for its high-quality wool, which is prized for its softness, luster and variety of natural colors. These hardy sheep are also known for producing multiple lambs per birth, often having three, four, or even five at a time. This high prolificacy makes them a valuable breed for increasing lamb production in commercial flocks.
